ArcheAge Chronicles publishes its operating rules for players

The ArcheAge Chronicles website now carries an XLGAMES operating policy effective 19 October 2026. For players preparing to join the demo, the practical points are account responsibility, prohibited automation and two different deadlines for support requests.

Steam account problems remain with Steam

Section 3 says access uses Steam accounts. Problems involving the Steam account itself, including loss or restrictions, fall under Steam policies and cannot be resolved directly by XLGAMES. The policy also prohibits abnormal sharing or trading of game accounts and items; handing an account to another person can leave problems outside the company’s assistance.

Bots and real-money trading carry sanctions

The published table lists permanent bans for unauthorized software and abnormal play involving macros or bots. Trading accounts or items for money is also prohibited. XLGAMES reserves the ability to adjust sanctions to the circumstances, so the table is not a promise that every violation receives a warning first.

Appeals: 14 days; recovery requests: 7 days

Section 4 allows an appeal through customer support within 14 days of a sanction. Section 7 gives a different deadline: request recovery within 7 days of the incident. Recovery concerns technical errors attributable solely to the company and verifiable in server records; it is not guaranteed. The listed exclusions include normal item consumption, Steam-side problems and losses caused by scams between players.
