ArcheAge Chronicles characters and peoples: who belongs to which story

The names in Chronicles’ announcements belong to several different periods. Some identify people active in the setting; others explain a class’s inherited ideals or a weapon’s past. A familiar figure in the lore is not automatically a companion, quest giver or playable race.

01People with a role in the described setting

Livek leads the Bluesalt Brotherhood in its introduction of 12 February 2025. The studio clarified on 19 February that Livek is also a title taken by newly elected leaders, and on 19 March that Jonathan Vanderfell used it as an alias. Those statements should not be collapsed into a claim that the current leader must be Jonathan.

Axas is connected to the Thorned Halberd and the Repentant Shadows during the 25-Year War, then described as the commander guarding a Dark Blade armory in Whalebone Graveyard (12 December 2024). His story has a past and a present role; it does not establish a guaranteed equipment reward.

02The Warrior and Ranger inherit opposing legends

The Warrior profile of 10 July 2026 identifies Kyrios with the earlier Jin Evernight, a member of the Shadowhawk Twin Swords who fought alongside Tahyang. Jin’s return from the Garden of the Gods marks his transformation into the God of Destruction in that account. Kyrios and Jin are not two separate characters to count.

The Ranger profile of 30 July 2026 names Tahyang Kahlzit as a legendary Firran hero who gained divine power but refused ascension. Riding Black Night and carrying a bow of light, he opposed Kyrios. Black Night is a named mount in this legend; the profile does not say players can obtain it.

03Gods, ancestors and forgotten rulers

Akasch is the god worshipped in serpent form by the Cult of Eternity in its post of 16 April 2025. The Nakisian account of 14 May instead uses the title Queen Akasch and describes a summoning across dimensions. Both are descriptions in the studio’s lore, not confirmation of a recruitable character or a playable encounter.

Aranzeb appears as the ancestor of the elf in the training post of 7 November 2024. The Golden King’s introduction of 5 March 2025 presents rumors about a lost resting place and asks what would happen if he awakened. It does not confirm that he has awakened.

The Greatest Gladiator is a forgotten warrior from Epherium in the post of 26 November 2024. His equipment outlives his personal name. Gatekeeper Harrod, by contrast, is explicitly recalled from the original ArcheAge in the post announcing his returning weapon; a current Chronicles encounter with Harrod is not established.

04Billy and Emrik belong to the prequel

The Nameless Man, introduced on 2 September 2026 as part of a story set ten years before Chronicles, opens with Billy waking without his memory. He remembers someone asking whether Emrik is dead. The question is part of the mystery: it does not establish Emrik’s death or prove that either character appears as an NPC in the playable game.

05Elves and Firran are not a confirmed character-creation list

The character-art post of 5 November 2024 depicts elves as warriors and mages and discusses the mood of their design. The training post two days later describes an elf using magic with a staff and sword. These communications establish representation and a combat illustration, not a racial bonus, class restriction or selection screen.

Firran is the people named through Tahyang’s Ranger legend. A Ranger inheriting his ideals does not establish that every Ranger is Firran, or that Firran is a selectable race. The two peoples have different kinds of evidence, which is why a single playable-races list would mislead.
