ArcheAge Chronicles price and business model — Early Access

XLGAMES has now directly described the Early Access business model. The published transcript of Executive Producer Yongjin Ham’s 21 October 2026 developer update specifies an initial purchase and two regional prices. This replaces the earlier position that the price was unannounced.

01The announced purchase and prices

The official Steam announcement confirms a buy-to-play model. In the linked video’s published transcript, at 2:40–3:04, Ham explains that players buy the game once and do not need a recurring subscription to keep playing. He announces an Early Access price of US$29.99 in the United States and 36,000 won in Korea.

Those figures apply to the named markets and to Early Access. They do not establish a euro or Swiss-franc price, a converted regional price, or a final-release price. Check the price actually displayed for your region before buying.

02What the announcement leaves open

An initial purchase and the absence of a required subscription do not by themselves describe every possible optional purchase. The Steam text and the pricing passage do not provide a complete shop catalogue, edition comparison or detailed payment policy. Do not read them as a new guarantee about every future item.

The update discusses preparations for Early Access; the transcript says more scheduling information will follow. A published price is not proof that Early Access is available today, and the free Steam Next Fest demo is a separate offer.

For a player considering the game, the practical change is a stated entry price and no mandatory recurring subscription.
