What the studio said
The Nakisians are the only people in the published lore whose weakness is explained by the setting itself: they lost their power because this world lacks the substance they draw it from.
The post of 14 May 2025 is the source: “Summoned across dimensions by the will of Queen Akasch, the Nakisians arrived— only to find this realm starved of Rancor, the very essence of their power. Unable to wield the powers they once commanded, they were forced into a deep slumber. But now, Rancor stirs again.”
They had appeared earlier, on 24 October 2024, in a post about the art team: a new monster “bears a striking resemblance to the fearsome Nakisian from our trailer”.
Documented facts
The documented account
Rancor is also named in the lore of the wraiths, in a post of 12 November 2024 describing souls “consumed by twisted wraiths through the lingering Rancor on Auroria”. It behaves in the published lore like a substance or a force, not a mood.
No official text defines it. This page notes the pattern and stops there, because the definition would be an invention.
Whether the Nakisians are enemies, a playable race, or a story element has never been stated, and nothing has been published about where they sleep or what wakes them.
