The Mage is one of the four classes XLGAMES has named, and the one testers picked most often in June 2026. Beyond that ranking and a class video, the studio has published far less about it than about the Warrior or the Ranger.
The Mage appears by name on the official infographic XLGAMES published on 3 July 2026, summarising its June focus group test. That graphic ranks the four classes by popularity: Mage first, then Ranger, Warrior and Berserker, across 165 testers and 2,006 hours of play.
The same infographic lists the three most used weapons of the test — the elemental staff, the wavesword and the longsword — which is the only official statement so far linking staves to the class that uses them.

Massively Overpowered reported on 30 July 2026 that XLGAMES had published a video for the Mage class alongside one for housing, and had gone into detail on the Warrior and the Ranger. The Mage video itself has not been turned into a written class profile the way those two were.
The magic staff is described in an official weapon post of 4 December 2024 — “Cast powerful spells with your Magic Staff … become a mage that is feared by all enemies by dominating the battlefield with your spells” — but that post predates the naming of the classes and does not tie the weapon to a class by name.
No skill list, no weapon paths, and no resource or cooldown mechanics have been published for the Mage. Where the Warrior and Ranger each received a written path structure in July 2026, the Mage has not — so any list of Mage abilities circulating today does not come from the developers.
The studio has said progression is level-based and class-based, with each class carrying its own weapon proficiencies and skill trees, but it has not detailed what the Mage’s tree contains.
